American Anthems celebrates the perseverance, kindness, and altruism of average Americans facing extraordinary circumstances. Each episode in the series features a different singer/songwriter who meets a local hero and writes an original song inspired by their story. Three-time Grammy Award winner Jennifer Nettles features as the subject of the first episode and serves as the series executive producer.
